IKA Enhances HABITAT Research Bioreactor with New Accessories and Sensors
IKA, a leader in laboratory and analytical equipment, has announced the expansion of its equipment and sensors for the HABITAT research bioreactor. This 3-in-1 bioreactor, fermenter, and photobioreactor now offers additional accessories to provide researchers with more options, enhancing user experience, capacity, and data accuracy.

The new accessories include the Desktop Lid Holder, Sample Flask Holder, Sensor Top Adjustment Adapter, and Condenser with Flexible Joint. These additions focus on improved ergonomics, sample handling, and precise sensor placement, making autoclaving and other processes more convenient and efficient.
In addition to the new equipment, IKA is introducing a range of new sensors, including the Off-gas Analyzer, Invasive Biomass Sensor, Non-invasive Biomass Sensor, Viable Biomass Sensor, and various digital sensors for pH, DO, and redox measurements. These sensors provide real-time, accurate data, enhancing process control and ensuring optimal research outcomes.
The HABITAT research bioreactor, launched in 2022, sets new standards in laboratory equipment by combining cutting-edge bioprocessing technology with ergonomic design. It integrates the functionalities of a bioreactor, fermenter, and photobioreactor, making it a versatile solution for a wide range of applications, including cell culture, fermentation, and phototropic cultivation.
