Spectricity and Lululab have announced a collaboration to revolutionize skincare applications by harnessing spectral information through multispectral imaging technology for mobile devices. This partnership aims to bring innovative skin analysis programs to a mobile platform, providing personalized skincare suggestions based on detailed spectral data.

Spectricity’s multispectral imaging cameras capture light across 16 color channels, offering unique insights for skin analysis compared to traditional RGB cameras. By combining this technology with Lululab’s AI-based skin analysis platform, previously confidential skin status information can be unveiled, enabling intelligent skincare recommendations tailored to individual needs.

“We are thrilled to explore the skincare possibilities of our multispectral technology with Lululab,” said Glenn Vandevoorde, CEO of Spectricity. “Lululab’s AI technology complements our sensors perfectly, allowing for a new level of personalized skincare.”

Yongjoon Choe, CEO of Lululab, highlighted the potential of Spectricity’s sensors to provide detailed skin information that was previously inaccessible. This technology integration into mobile devices will enhance skincare recommendations with higher accuracy and detail, offering users professional skincare advice from the comfort of their homes.

Spectricity, founded in 2018 as a spin-off from Imec in Belgium, specializes in spectral sensing solutions for mobile applications. Their focus on miniature form factor and integration into mobile devices makes them a leader in multispectral imaging sensors and camera modules.

Lululab, established as a spin-off from Samsung Electronics’ C-lab in 2017 in Korea, utilizes AI technology to analyze individual skin conditions and provide tailored product recommendations and clinical programs.

This collaboration between Spectricity and Lululab marks a significant advancement in the field of personalized skincare, leveraging cutting-edge technology to deliver customized solutions for consumers. With the integration of multispectral imaging and AI-based analysis, users can expect a new level of skincare experience that is both innovative and effective.
